Rentals
If you have an injury or are recovering after surgery, or if a loved one is staying with you for a short period of time, you may be able to rent the medical equipment you need. MediEquip offers rentals of select products at our main store on Manchester and our South County store. Our full rental policy and rates are listed below. If you have any questions, please feel free to give us a call.
Rental Policy
A copy of your driver’s license or state ID and credit card will be required at the time of rental. Upon return these documents will be shredded.
Term of Rental
Rental starts the day the equipment is picked up or delivered. Sundays and holidays are a normal rental day.
Rental stops the day the items are returned to MediEquip. Items not physically returned by 2 pm will be charged for that day rental.
It is the responsibility of the renter to return items rented.
Condition of Rental Equipment
MediEquip provides equipment in good working condition and educates the renter on proper use.
MediEquip has the right to inspect any returned equipment and charge to credit card for damage incurred while rented. Rental charges continue until damaged equipment is returned.
Most equipment have a manufacturer’s suggested weight capacity of 250 lbs. Renters that exceed this weight are responsible for informing MediEquip staff so the proper equipment may be supplied. MediEquip will not accept responsibility for renters who exceed the weight capacity or the misuse of rental equipment.
Rent Applied to Purchase
One month of rental can be applied towards the purchase of rented hospital beds, lift chairs, patient lifts or ramps.
Two weeks of rental may be applied towards the purchase of power wheelchairs, scooters or manual wheelchairs.
Insurance
It is the responsibility of the renter to provide insurance cards/information at the time rental is dispensed. MEDIEQIP WILL NOT RETRO BILL INSURANCE FOR PRIVATE RENTAL ITEMS. If renter accepts this equipment without prior approval from insurance company, MediEquip will not assume financial responsibility.
Charges
Items rented over one month will have the credit card automatically charged to keep their account current.
Any rental kept out for more than 1 month will be converted to long term rental and will be charged the monthly rate. A current credit card number must be kept on file during the rental of all equipment.
