MediEquip offers the largest variety of power wheelchairs in a full range of capabilities, from basic to full rehab, from the top manufacturers, including Pride, Golden Technologies, Quickie/Sunrise Medical and Permobil. We've included a sampling of the chairs available in the list below, with links to more information.

It Starts with a Conversation
When it comes to finding the right medical equipment for yourself or a loved one, we need just a bit of information from you. That information is especially important when it comes to getting just the right configuration of a power wheelchair. Your diagnosis determines what kind of chair is required, taking into account what you need today, and how those needs may change over time. Your environment is also important, how much room you have to get around, what types of surfaces, whether you have assistance or not. And of course, we work with you along with your physicians, physical or occupational therapists, your insurance providers, other caregivers and family.

About Power Wheelchairs
Compared to manual wheelchairs, power chairs offer easier maneuvering in tight spaces, improved access to the community, and can be programmed to your individual ability and environment. They have more options for seating and positioning, and provide rest for muscles and aching joints.
Power wheelchairs are usually prescribed by a physician or therapist when you are unable to propel a manual lightweight wheelchair in your home.
Power chairs come in all sizes, colors and styles, with all types of features and options to meet any need. Some chairs have a smaller turning radius, making them more suitable for smaller homes and apartments. Some are best used mostly indoors or on paved surfaces, while some rugged models can take you on any kind of outdoor terrain you like. Power wheelchairs are not light, but with other options such as ramps, porch lifts and auto lifts, you can take your power wheelchair just about anywhere you want to go.

The C300 PS is a great starting point if you don’t need much advanced technology. It has a small, flexible chassis that is equally at home indoors and out. The C300 series offers a range of compact yet powerful models with power tilt and elevating legrests. Other models include the C300 Corpus and C300 Corpus 3G, both shown below.

Pediatric WheelchairsWe provide custom pediatric power wheelchairs, manual tilt -n-space wheelchairs, strollers, gait trainers, and standers. We work with a variety of manufacturers and have demos available on some products. Our dedicated rehab specialist works with family members and therapists to provide seating systems that work well both in the home and school environment. We'll discuss insurance allowables with you during the fitting process. Any needs greater than what insurance allows, can be co-ordinated with third party payers.
