Mobility Questions

In order to find the right wheelchair, power wheelchair, or other mobility device, it's important that you talk to your doctor, then talk to us. We'll ask you about your insurance provider, diagnosis, weight and in-home environment. It won't take long, and it will help us tell you about the kinds of equipment you may need now and in the future.

Before you call us or come in, please find read through the following questions, and get what information you can, whether it's for yourself or a loved one.

• What insurance provider do you have? Do you have Medicare?
• What is your diagnosis?
• When did you last see your physician? Did you talk about any mobility limitations (walking or using a manual wheelchair)?
• Have you recently seen a physical or occupational therapist?
• How much do you weigh?
• What is your In-Home Environment — house, apartment, care facility? We'll also ask you about how well you get around in your home, if you're able to manage on your own or with assistance.

By asking you these few basic questions, and finding out about your health care provider recommendations, insurance coverage, and environment, we'll be able to determine what kind of wheelchair or other mobility equipment is right for you.
