Lift Chairs

Everyone wants a plush, comfy chair to relax, read, watch tv. But when getting in and out of a chair is difficult, painful, or impossible, it’s hard to relax. A lift chair offers more than a regular recliner, slowly raising to whatever height you need, letting you gently lower into the chair, then lowering you down to a normal sitting position, or to a full reclining position. When you’re ready to get up, with just the touch of a button, the chair raises you up to the point you need, letting you comfortably and securely stand on your own or with assistance from care givers.

Lift chairs are ideal for individuals who have difficulty standing up from chairs of normal height, or chronic swollen extremities requiring the legs to be raised above the heart for circulation. They’re also ideal for anyone recovering from surgery or battling long-term illness. Some models are even available for rent.

Each of our stores is stocked with chairs from Pride and Golden Technologies, two of the industry's leading manufacturers, in a wide range of colors, fabrics, styles, features and reclining options. If we don't have the color, style or features you want, we can always custom order your chair.

Types of Lift Chairs

Most of the lift chairs we offer fall into one of two groups: economy 2-position chairs and luxury 3-position chairs. Two-position chairs offer a partial recline, best for watching television or reading. Three-position chairs offer a full recline, perfect for napping or sleeping. Both Pride and Golden Technologies offer a full selection of both kinds of chairs.

Golden Technologies Lift Chairs Golden Technologies manufacturers a wide variety of lift chairs in your choice of styles, fabrics, colors and sizes, with a small sample shown here. There are six groups of Golden Technologies lift chairs, outlined below with links to more information: Comforter Series — plush and comfortable, with lumbar support, "grip rite" arm design, in a variety of sizes. Comforter Wide Series — the same plush comfort, in wider sizes and larger weight capacities. Value Series — classic comfort and style at a great price.
